I am a photographer, filmmaker, and publisher based in Munich, Germany, collaborating with institutions, brands, agencies, artists, film production companies, and individuals.
Recent collaborations include the feature documentary Ich bin Krabat, directed by Thomas von Steinaecker for 3B Production and Arte TV. Together with director Yulia Vishnevets, I shot the feature documentary Carmen, or an Unfortunate Love Story of Hanspeter from Oberkassel, That Made My Children Happy in a Foreign Country. In collaboration with Kreisjugendring München-Stadt and comic artists Barbara Yelin and Aike Arndt, we realized the feature documentary Zwischen den Bildern, which premiered at DOK.fest Munich. Swiss landscape architects Gartenwerke invited me to make a film about their work, and with fashion photographer and director Misha Taylor, I created videos for Matches Fashion and Massimo Dutti. For the international project Survivor-Centred Visual Narratives and the University of Victoria, Canada, I produced the short documentary But I Live, portraying the relationship between artist Barbara Yelin and Holocaust survivor Emmie Arbel. In close collaboration with brand communication specialists Vince and Vert, we realized a film portrait of the Italian window manufacturer Finstral. And last but not least, every portrait I photograph is a collaboration between the sitter and me.
